Dr Rukshini Puvanendran is a Senior Consultant and Assistant Professor in KKH Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests are in Midlife Women’s Health including Menopause and Osteoporosis. In addition to clinical work, she is also passionate about education of residents and medical student and is core faculty in Duke-NUS Medical School and clinician faculty for Singhealth Family Medicine Residency. She serves as an examiner for doctors sitting for Masters of Medicine and well as Graduate Diploma examinations.

How do I make payment

You will make a payment directly to the provider you have an appointment with. We do not charge a fee for making an appointment.
Is bloodwork required to be done for a Menopause diagnosis?

The short answer is NO. A diagnosis is usually based on self reported symptoms, in combination with your medical history, age and sometimes your family medical history. However, a doctor may order blood tests to rule our other possible causes of your symptoms.
What type of medications do you prescribe?

Doctors prescribe any medication that is required to treat your symptoms effectively. For some women this may mean hormonal treatment, while others require a low dose anti-depressant or holistic care.
Who can make an appointment

Any woman who is experiencing menopause related symptoms and wants information, questions answered and/or treatment.
How much does an appointment cost

This depends on the type and duration of consultation, but prices range from $25 - $250. Please check the "rates" tab on each doctors profile for additional details and/or enquire with the clinic before making an appointment.
Do your doctors write prescriptions?

Yes, doctors listed on our website are fully licensed in Singapore and may prescribe prescription medication if required to treat your symptoms.
Is a consultation with a Menopause doctor covered by my health insurance or Medisave?

This depends entirely on the type of health care insurance that you have and which provider you make an appointment with. Please check your insurance coverage for consults completed by a General Practitioner / Family doctors and or specialists like an OBGYN before making an appointment. After an appointment you will be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance to claim back the money.
Are these doctors licensed to practice medicine in Singapore?
